Scottish Sea Farms wins Innovation Award

Scottish Sea Farms, which runs salmon farms across Orkney, Shetland, and the west coast, has picked up one of the top prizes at this year’s M&S Farming for the Future Awards.

The firm, which operates 43 fish farms at any one time, has won the Innovation Award for their Lochmuir Salmon. According to Scottish Sea Farms, just one portion of their specially fed salmon can provide a person with their entire weekly intake of Omega 3.

The awards took place at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh on this afternoon, Thursday.
