Search resumes for missing man

The search is continuing this morning for missing Orkney man Michael Ritch who was last seen around 9 pm on Wednesday, and whose car was found in the Yesnaby area yesterday, Thursday.

Michael is 33 years of age and described as being about 5 foot 8 inches tall, of slim build with short dark hair and last seen wearing a dark blue jacket over a dark blue polo shirt, blue denim jeans, brown shoes and a blue beanie style hat.

It is requested that anybody who has seen Mr Ritch or his red Skoda Fabia car or know of his current whereabouts contact Police Scotland on 101.

A Police spokesman said that the ground and sea search, involving Police, Coastguards and Stromness Lifeboat recommenced this morning.
