Shetland do the double over Orkney

Shetland’s senior netball players secured a historic double victory over Orkney this afternoon — the first time ever both Shetland sides have won on Orkney soil.

Both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides gained deserved 25-52 wins — also the first time both fixtures have ended with identical results.

It was Shetland’s biggest victory over Orkney since 2008 in the ‘A’ fixture, while in the ‘B’, Shetland won their 14th Inga Manson ‘B’ Cup.

The results meant that both Shetland sides retained the titles they won in 2016.
