Standards Commissioner considering Carmichael investigation

The Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards in the House of Commons has this morning confirmed that an investigation into Northern Isles MP Alistair Carmichael is being considered.

A spokeswoman said that the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, Kathryn Hudson, is now considering whether the complaints received since Mr Carmichael’s admission of responsibility regarding a leaked memo justified the launch of a full investigation.
