Stuart Cup heads to Shetland
Shetland won a 37th Stuart Cup, as swimming and football victories clinched victory in the 71st junior inter-county competition.
Shetland ended the day 20 points ahead of Orkney, winning 161.5 to Orkney’s 141.5.
Taking a three-point lead into the day, their dominance in the pool continued, winning 39.5-57.5, before the footballers exerted their own dominance, sealing a deserved 2-0 win against Orkney.
That win all but sealed the Stuart Cup, however Orkney ended the competition on a triumphant note, with a fantastic display on the netball court resulting in a 45-34 win.
