Top play for Palace Players on second night of Drama Festival

Palace Players (Bishops) were the winners on the second night of the 2015 drama festival with their production of Frank Gibbon’s Baby Sparklers.

Adjudicator Russell Boyce praised all three plays performed, and said the Palace Players production, “looked good and sounded good”.

Tonight sees the final two groups take to the stage at the Orkney Theatre:

• Hoy and Walls Entertainments Group with The Tour (original farce, written and directed by Lindsay Hall)
• Birsay Drama Group (Brough) with Excess Baggage (a comedy drama by Nancy McPherson and directed by Margaret Irvine).
