“Very positive” County Show meeting held

Members of the Orkney Agricultural Society and Orkney Islands Council are having regular meetings in the lead up to the County Show.

Orkney Islands Council has described a meeting, held yesterday to review the progress of this year’s County Show, as “very positive.”

The Council and Orkney Agricultural Society (OAS) held a meeting yesterday afternoon – one of a regular series of meetings being held to help the society move forward with plans for this year’s show.

The OAS decided earlier this week to go ahead with the show, but to keep the situation under review.

As part of this, ground conditions at the Bignold Park are being monitored regularly by the Council with both the organisations continuing to work closely together as the County Show nears.
