Volleyball men to host Shetland counterparts

The Orkney men’s volleyball team will host their Shetland counterparts in a regional qualifier later today.

The winner of the match will progress to the national regional finals in Wishaw at the end of April.

The match promises to be a close affair, with last year’s defeat to Shetland going right down to the wire in a five-set thriller.

The game will be the first volleyball match at the new Kirkwall Grammar School, with organisers appealing for a large home support to cheer on the hosts.
