An ODD Night Out

A concert in aid of the Orkney Drugs Dog (ODD) charity is set to take place this Saturday night, January 19, with a host of local acts to provide a night of entertainment at the Orkney Theatre.

A line-up of local stars, including the drummers from the Kirkwall City Pipe Band, Orkney Rocks, Shogun, and Iona Macleod will take to the stage from 7.30pm.

Tickets for the show will be available at Kirkwall Town Hall Foyer from 10am until 2pm this Thursday, January 10, and Saturday, January 12. They will also be on sale at Trek and Travel, Bridge Street, Kirkwall.

Skaill House Falconry

Get a chance to handle a real live hawk, this Saturday, as Skaill House Falconry visits the Cromarty Hall in St Margaret’s Hope from 12pm until 2pm.

For sci-fi and fantasy fans, Mortal Engines (12A) will be screening throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, Phoenix Kids presents a special showing of The Grinch (U).

Also for little ones and grown ups alike — Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (PG) will be in the cinema throughout the weekend.
