Ness of Brodgar Open Day

There will be an open day at the Ness of Brodgar archaeological gig, this Sunday, July 21.

There will be Neolithic fun for all the family, with tours, demonstrations and plenty of activities on site.

The site will be open to the public from 11am until 4pm.

Shopping Week Hack

Stromness Shopping Week will kick off with the annual hack. This is the ninth year that horse riders have taken a route round the town, covering spectacular view over Stromness, the west shore and parish farmlands.

All horse boxes park up at Garson Industrial Estate and riders should be ready to depart at 12.30pm.

Jumble Sale

Dounby Lifeboat Guild will be holding a jumble sale, this weekend.

There will be plenty of bargains to rummage through, this Saturday from 10am until 5pm and on Sunday from 10am until 4pm.

The 70th anniversary Holm Regatta will be taking place, this Saturday.

Registration will be from 9am and tickets are still available for the regatta dance. The exhibition will be open, 2-4pm.
