Wins for Taylor & Sons at Hope Show

J. W. Taylor & Sons of Aikers, South Ronaldsay, won the overall cattle championship title for the first time at today’s South Ronaldsay and Burray Agricultural Show.

The family had reason to celebrate when Stella, a 17-month-old black Limousin cross heifer won the family the title for the first time in over 20 years of showing cattle.

The family did the double at the show, winning the horse section earlier in the day with the six-year-old Clydesdale mare, Lady Diana. The mare was also named as Overall Showyard Champion.

Sheep section winner was J.W.S. Wishart and Son, with a five-crop Suffolk ewe.
