New helpdesk for adult social work

Orkney Health and Care’s adult social work team have set up a new staffed helpdesk service.

The service will be the first port of call for people looking advice on health and social care services in Orkney and information on the range of local services and organisations available.

Those staffing the helpdesk will be able to take referrals and requests for services and point people in the right direction to help them find what they need. Staff will be able to recommend useful leaflets and websites too. Examples include equipment available to make life easier for those with mobility problems or support available to those caring for someone else.

Visit: The OIC reception desk at School Place, Kirkwall, and ask to speak to the Orkney Health and Care Help Desk worker between 9am and 1pm.
