2013 Drama Festival begins.

The 2013 Scottish community Drama Association, Orkney District, One-Act Drama Festival starts tonight in the Orkney Arts Theatre in Kirkwall. The three night long festival is made up of eight plays from drama groups around Orkney.

Tonight, Say Something Happened, is the Alan Bennett play which will be presented by Kirkwall Arts Club. The spoof murder mystery Whodidit? is the play to be performed by Stromness Drama Club, and Randy’s Reel, a Scottish adaptation of The Beggars Opera, will be from Birsay Drama Group. 

This year’s adjudicator is Dave Bennet from Wishaw. Mr Bennet will comment on each play performed and choose which will go forward to the divisional finals.
