Academy pupils try their hands at journalism

Stromness Academy pupils will be among the thousands making and broadcasting the news today, Thursday.

The school is participating in the tenth annual BBC News School report, which will see school reporters the length and breadth of the council gathering news stories and posting them online.

The young journalists have a deadline to work to, with the finished stories posted around 4pm.
