Airport road reopens following house fire

No injuries were sustained in a Kirkwall house fire, which saw emergency services close part of the road to Kirkwall Airport, this Friday.

This is according to police, who confirmed this evening that — while there had been extensive damage to the home in the Lynn Road area — there were no injuries, nor any wider damage to public or property.

The road has now been reopened, and police have thanked the public for their co-operation with emergency services throughout the incident.
