All set for busy inter-county weekend

Orkney will be hoping to make it a hat-trick against the “auld enemy” today, as the annual inter-county clash against Shetland is set to get under way at Picky.

The action begins at noon today, with a mixed hockey encounter.

That is followed at 2pm by the hockey clash, with Orkney aiming to secure the Lady Hamilton Cup for the 11th year in a row.

Then, at 4pm, the footballers take to the pitch, with Orkney hoping to reclaim the Milne Cup, after following up a 3-1 home win in 2012 with defeat in Shetland last year.
