Amateur Master Chef competitors selected

The final line-up for the Orkney Amateur Master Chef 2015 competition has been announced.

Randomly selection, the four talented local chefs are Erica Clarkson, Kerry Leask, Ray Patterson and Firdosh Shaikh.

They will now go head-to-head at the event, sponsored by Jewson and NorthLink Ferries, later this month.

They’ll each have to prepare a three course meal, using the very best Orkney produce, in front of a live audience at the Orkney Theatre on September 30.

Orkney Food and Drink’s development manager, Edgar Balfour, said: “We’re delighted to be able to name our four contestants, and we’re looking forward to seeing their menus and how they’re going to put our excellent Orkney produce to use.

“It’s sure to be an entertaining evening and hopefully people will come along and be inspired by our wide range of quality food and drink.”
