April airport passengers numbers up

Passenger numbers at Kirkwall Airport showed modest growth in April, compared to the same period last year, according to the latest batch of figures released by the Highlands and Islands Airport Authority (HIAL).

In total 13,495 passengers were recorded for Kirkwall Airport, an increase of 12.7 per cent from the year previous, mainly due to an increase in numbers on scheduled services.
