BBC’s John Beattie takes a walk through Orkney’s history

BBC broadcaster, and former Scottish international rugby player, John Beattie’s lunchtime programmes on BBC Radio Scotland this week have a distinctly Orcadian flavour.

John Beattie – who played the Orkney Blues Festival with The Blues Broadcasting Company at the weekend – recorded a series of programmes while he was in the county, including pieces on the history of Orkney from The Orkney Museum – being aired from Tuesday to Friday this week.
