Boat runs aground at Rackwick
Longhope Lifeboat and local coastguard were called yesterday to assist a 19 foot pleasure boat with an outboard which had run aground in Rackwick earlier in the week.
The boat came into the bay on Monday evening.
The lifeboat was then called out at around 10.15am on Wednesday, but was unable to assist further because of the swell in the area, and returned to station.
A Coastguard spokesperson said that it will now be up to the owners of the vessel to attempt to get it afloat again.
