Business Gateway offers free and impartial advice to anyone wanting to start up or develop a business within the islands.
We can direct you for funding towards start-up or development.
Following the distribution of over £20m of Council and Scottish Government COVID support funds during the pandemic to the Orkney business community, we are keen to further support local businesses through continued funding and advisory help.
One-to-one support is available to discuss finance, marketing, digital requirements, human resources and coaching skills.
We can act as a sounding board to bounce ideas and help pull together plans for new development projects.
Economic Development officers are available to discuss funding for your new community, private and third sector business projects:

Jordan Low for fisheries, food and drink.
Morag Robertson for tourism and creative industries.
