By-election postal packs out this week

According to the OIC, voters who have applied for a postal vote in this month’s West Mainland by-election should receive their postal voting pack this week.

Voting in the by-election takes place on Tuesday, August 18, between 7am and 10pm and, for what is believed to be the first time in Scotland, it’s an all-female contest.

The count takes place in the council chamber on Wednesday, August 19, with a declaration expected by lunchtime.
