Changes to Eynhallow refit schedule

The mv Eynhallow will now set off for refit on Saturday, April 20, rather than on Wednesday, April 17.

Orkney Ferries previously intimated that the Eynhallow would leave for refit on Wednesday, with disruptions to the service on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Rousay service will now run as usual until Saturday, April 20.

Ferry services manager Captain Alistair Wylie explained:  “We were unable to get the Eynhallow away to refit, as originally planned due to adverse weather.

“Until Saturday, the service will run as normal, and then in order to move the mv Eynhallow down to refit, the Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre service will be limited to two round trips on Saturday with the mv Shapinsay,” added Captain Wylie.
