Conference delegates on fact-finding tour of Orkney

As part of the sixth International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE), the Stromness-based European Marine Energy Centre (EMC) is hosting a day trip to Orkney on Monday.

The itinerary will take delegates to the main marine renewables sites around Orkney to learn more about EMEC and the marine renewables activity that has taken place on the islands over the last decade.

Delegates will also meet with developers and members of the Orkney supply chain during the event.

EMEC representatives will be at the conference in Edinburgh, which opens on Tuesday with a keynote address from energy minister Fergus Ewing.
