Council chamber audiocasting set to go live

Two meetings are due to be broadcast live this week from the council chamber in Kirkwall.

After trial broadcasts earlier this year, the OIC plans to provide an audio feed online from tomorrow’s meeting of the Education, Leisure and Housing Committee and the meeting of the Development and Infrastructure Committee on Thursday.

Both meetings begin at 10.30am, with the live audio stream available by following a link from the home page at www.orkney.gov.uk

The meetings of the Policy and Resources Committee on Tuesday, June 23, and a special meeting of the Development and Infrastructure Committee on Friday, June 26, are due to be broadcast as well.

In addition, the council has been developing a listen-again service, with recordings of the four meetings available, via the council website, within two days of the meetings taking place.
