Councillors updated on campus proposal

The OIC development and infrastructure committee have received an updated report on the former Stromness Primary School, which has the potential to be developed as part of the proposed Orkney Research Campus.
A development brief – providing guidance to potential developers of the Old Academy and former Primary School sites in Stromness – was adopted by the council earlier this year after a public consultation.
The council will now develop a business case for the project, which will be considered by a future meeting of the committee.
