Deadline approaching for council plan comments

Orkney Islands Council is reminding people that the deadline for submitting comments on the Council Plan is fast approaching.

The consultation on the document closes next week, on Friday, February 8.

The Council Plan 2013 – 18, which is currently in draft form, sets out the council’s priorities for the next five years, as well as how they intend to meet them.

Local people can have a look at the plan now and email the OIC with any comments that they might have.  These will then be reported back to the elected members before the final version is approved.

To view the draft plan, see www.orkney.gov.uk .  Paper copies are also available at the One Stop Shop in Kirkwall, the Stromness Cash Office, Orkney Library and Stromness Library.
