Donations sought for Radio Orkney fundraiser
With Pudsey set to return to Radio Orkney, the team are appealing for donations for this year’s fundraising night of fun for Children in Need.
While COVID-19 regulations ruled out the event last year, Radio Orkney are putting on their always popular show, featuring an auction and a live broadcast on Friday, November 19 from 7pm until the last lots are sold.
In 2019, Orkney was said to have the distinction of taking in the most donations per capita in the UK. To ensure that the night will enjoy the same level of success, the team are appealing for as many auction donations as they can get. The sooner they get them, the sooner they can be organised into lots and put onto their Facebook page to view.
Rob Flett, the assistant news editor, said: “Now we can go ahead with Children in Need as a more back to normal, involved event with as much public participation as we can get, because it’s always raised so much money in Orkney.”
