Doonies take Christmas day double
The Doonies took the double today with a hard-fought men’s game, which was won by doonie Andrew Corsie, following a shorie-won boys’ ba earlier in the day.
Mr Corsie, 43, from Kirkwall said it felt “just unbelievable” to have won the game, which proved to be a very evenly matched, six-hour struggle punctuated by long spells stuck on Broad Street and the car park at the back of boots.
Today’s men’s Ba’ was thrown up at 1pm u player Evan Monkman who won his own ba’ 25 years ago.
