Final day of Island Games action

Today, Friday, sees the final day of action at the 2013 International Island Games, being held in Bermuda.

Orkney currently sits thirteenth on the medal table with one gold and three silver medals.

Most of the Orkney competitors finished their competition schedules yesterday, however 10,000 metres silver medalist, Thomas Fay and triathlon silver medalist Paul Kerr are due to tackle the men’s half marathon at 10.30pm British time.

The Closing Ceremony is then due to take place this evening in Hamilton, before the Orkney team begins to fly back to the county over the next few days.
