First XV finish league campaign in convincing fashion

Orkney Rugby Club’s First XV ended their league campaign on a high note, beating promoted Dunfermline 31-0 this afternoon.

The convincing win, played out before a large crowd at a bright, but very windy Picky, saw Orkney finish third in RBS Caledonia Regional League Division 1.

A strong first half showing saw Orkney score three unanswered tries and go in 19-0 ahead at half-time, and, despite playing against the strong wind, the hosts controlled the bulk of the second half, scoring two late tries late on.
