Five-goal Thurso end Orkney’s Football Times Cup defence

Thurso hit Orkney FC for five today, as the islanders surrendered the Football Times Cup.

Fans at The Dammies witnessed seven goals, five of them going the way of the home side as Orkney endured a disappointing afternoon.

Thurso went ahead twice in the match before being pegged back by goals from Owen Rendall and Liam Delday.

The Vikings put the tie to bed however, with three unanswered goals to run out 5-2 winners.

Writing on their Facebook page, Orkney FC said the final scoreline was not reflection of the match as a whole.
