Free Saturday parking reminder

A reminder that, from today, there will be all-day, free parking every Saturday, until Christmas, in all Kirkwall and Stromness pay-and-display car parks.

In addition, the existing ‘first hour free’ parking on weekdays will continue throughout winter.

Drivers are reminded that they must get a ticket from the ticket machines and display it in their windscreens when taking advantage of the ‘first hour free’ parking.

Tickets won’t be needed on Saturdays leading up to Christmas – ticket machines will be covered over.
