Fundraising ‘Bash for Burns’

St Andrews will play host to a “Bash for Burns” tonight, Saturday, to raise money for the Orkney branch of Crohn’s and Colitis UK.

The fundraising extravaganza, organised by Sheree Peace, will be a traditional Burns Supper, followed by a ceilidh and dance, in the St Andrews Community Hall.

Sheree explained: “We wanted to do something a bit different to look forward to at this time of year. Although starting off with a traditional Burns Supper, we have tried to put our own spin on things, and kept the evening light-hearted and informal so it will appeal to everyone.”

The evening, which begins at 6.30pm, will include a ceilidh, music by Sheree’s band, Genuine Draft, and kicking off the proceedings, music and singing from pupils from St Andrews School, who recently launched their new CD, Altogether Now.
