Get Ready To Rock

Orkney Rock Festival is set to “Rock the Isles” this weekend with three days of music and mayhem in venues around Kirkwall.

Over 30 local and visiting acts are taking part in the Orkney Live Wire event, which is now in its second year.

The fun starts this afternoon with a selection of local bands including, Cosmic Soup, The Tribe and Bad Apple as well as visiting band Woodwife, performing in pubs around the town.

Two ticketed evening events are planned for Saturday (Matchmakers) and Sunday (Fusion: Firelounge), with a selection of pub gigs earlier in the day.
