Goals galore as Orkney Ladies seal semi-final place

Orkney’s Senior Ladies hockey side sealed their place in the Scottish District Cup semi-final as they routed Granite City Wanderers 2nds 11-0 this afternoon.

After being given a tough test against Hillhead Ladies 2nds in the previous round, Orkney went into the game as firm favourites and the islanders proved too strong for the Aberdeen side with Charlotte Thomson scoring four, Claire Irvine and Hannah Cromarty getting two goals each and Inga Kemp, Bethin MacDonald and Isla Tait also adding to the score.

The semi-final will now take place at the end of February.
