Graemeshall road remains closed

The storm-damaged road at Graemeshall in Holm has been stabilised using a temporary repair to prevent further deterioration and erosion.

The council say that no further damage appears to have taken place over the Christmas period. The road remains closed, with a diversion in place for motorists.

Orkney Islands Council will make a further assessment next week, when a more substantial repair plan will be put in place which will include a schedule for re-opening the road.
