Hagan to continue as health board representative
Councillor Stephen Hagan has been elected as the council representative on the board of NHS Orkney.
The former convener was up against Councillor Russ Madge for the position, which attracts an annual wage of £7,332, based on eight hours a week.
Councillor Hagan, who was nominated by Graham Sinclair and Rob Crichton at today’s full council meeting, won by 11 votes to eight in a secret ballot, against Councillor Madge, whose name was put forward by Jack Moodie and John Richards.
