Hamnavoe launch for Stromness pupils’ film

A short, animated film by school pupils telling the story of Stromness and its relationship with the sea is being launched on board the mv Hamnavoe today, Tuesday.

The project has seen the Stromness THI team working with P6 pupils from Stromness Primary School on the film – made up of animations which pupils have produced, by hand, over a number of months – and an accompanying leaflet.

The film will be shown on information screens during each sailing of the Hamnavoe, and will be available to visitors in local guesthouses and hotels as a DVD.  It will also be available on the www.stromnessorkney.com website.
