Health and care consultation under way

Feedback is being sought on a new document that sets out the framework for the services Orkney Health and Care (OHAC) plans to deliver over the next ten years.

OHAC is a partnership between Orkney Islands Council and NHS Orkney. Its joint commissioning strategy, currently in draft form, is based on an assessment of future health and care needs in the county.

The strategy looks at the services that may be required to meet these needs and at how they might be delivered by OHAC and partner organisations, such as the voluntary sector.

The draft joint commissioning strategy is available on the council website. Paper copies are also available on request by contacting Rosemary Colsell at the OIC on 873535 ext 2640 or rosemary.colsell@orkney.gov.uk
