Introduction to Nichiren Buddhism

Tomorrow, Sunday, August 5, the St Magnus Centre in Kirkwall will play host to an introductory talk on Nichiren Buddhism.

The event has been organised by local artist Sheena Graham-George.

She said:  “I hold monthly Nichiren Buddhist discussion meetings and over the course of the year the level of interest in this form of Buddhism has steadily grown to the extent I felt it might be a good idea to hold a public introductory talk.

“I invited Prue Bucknall, who is from Moray and is a wonderful speaker, to come and give the talk, which is basically for anyone and everyone who might want to learn a bit about the basics and philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism.”

The talk starts at 2pm, refreshments are provided and admission is free, everyone is welcome.
