Leask Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanic & fitter to join our team in Orkney.

The role will involve the servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, plant, agricultural machinery and marine equipment, helping to ensure our equipment remains safe, reliable and available for operations.

Duties will include routine servicing and preventative maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, fitting replacement components, and supporting the day-to-day activities of our engineering and operations teams.

Previous experience working with plant, commercial vehicles or similar mechanical equipment is essential. The successful candidate should be practical and hands-on, with a positive can-do attitude, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, organised and safety-conscious, and who takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard.
