Lifeboat called to assist dinghy

Kirkwall lifeboat was launched this morning after a member of the public reported seeing a sailing dinghy capsize in Kirkwall Bay.

However, on arriving at the scene, the lifeboat crew found the two people onboard were righting the boat and were safe.

The lifeboat escorted the dinghy further into the bay, where the two people continued sailing.
