Lifeboats head to ditched helicopter
Kirkwall Lifeboat was launched along with lifeboats from Shetland after a helicopter ditched off Fair Isle on Monday afternoon.
The CHC-operated helicopter was carrying an oil crew from Aberdeen to a rig 86 miles north-west of Shetland when it ditched at around 3.30pm.
The 17 passengers and two crew were rescued by a nearby tanker and later airlifted, with some taken to Kirkwall.
