The Longhope Lifeboat was called out on Sunday afternoon after three divers were reported missing on the east side of Flotta.

According to the RNLI, the divers had failed to return to the dive charter boat, Sharon Rose, but had managed to swim to the shore on Flotta. The lifeboat reached the scene at 3.53pm, by which time the dive boat had managed to send a rope ashore.

The lifeboat remained, on standby, at the location until all the divers were back safely aboard the Sharon Rose.
