Man appears from custody in relation to Pickaquoy Centre break-in

A nineteen-year-old man from Kirkwall has been remanded in custody in connection to a break-in and damage at the Pickaquoy Centre.

Appearing in private at Kirkwall Sheriff Court earlier today, Thursday, Anton Rodwell made no plea, and has been committed for further examination.

The incident took place in the early hours of yesterday, Wednesday, and saw the leisure centre closed for the day.

Yesterday, police in Kirkwall put out a plea for information from the public.
