Marathon-running vets visit Orkney

A pair of fundraising veterinary surgeons have been running a marathon around the Orkney mainland today, as part of a challenge which will see them run ten marathons in ten days.

Carolyne Crow, from Gloucestershire, and Brian Faulkner, from Suffolk, began their challenge at Lybster yesterday and will run in various locations around the British Isles , with their final marathon being this year’s London Marathon on Sunday, April 23.

They set themselves the goal of raising £10,000 for Brooke — a charity dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules across the world—  and managed to smash their fundraising goal yesterday, the first day of their challenge.
