Marking thirty years of the vintage rally

The Orkney Vintage Club will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its annual rally today, Sunday, with high hopes that the 2013 event will be a roaring success again.

The rally takes place at the Orkney Auction Mart site.

Marking 100 years since the first Morris car arrived in Orkney, a number of Morris vehicles will be featured in an outdoor display. Inside, the theme is vintage items which people had acquired from foreign places.

This year, a donation from the takings at the event will be made to the Gilbertson Day Centre and West Mainland Day Centre Comfort Funds.
