The MV Priscilla remains stable and safely at anchor within Orkney Harbour’s jurisdiction of Scapa Flow, according to HM Coastguard this afternoon.

Maritime and Coastguard Agency surveyors are now onboard assessing the vessel and a dive inspection is still ongoing.

Subject to the outcome of these inspections, a decision will be made regarding future plans for the vessel and her remaining cargo.

HM Coastguard expects to issue a statement tomorrow morning as to future plans for the Priscilla.

The MV Priscilla ran aground on Pentland Skerries in the early hours of Wednesday last week, July 18.
