New chairman and vice-chairman for Stromness Community Council

The newly elected Stromness Community Council voted George Argo as its chairman at a meeting yesterday evening.

Mr Argo received six votes to John Mowat’s one in a secret ballot.

Kenny Holland was appointed vice-chairman after a five votes to two win against Mr Mowat.
